Market report 25th april 08

Sensex yestereday witnessed a a volatile session as we told u in the morning due to the month end and the settlement day , we saw a lots of ups and down in the sensex .. nifty some how managed to closed just at 5000 lvls with 1point low..
From the past six trading session ... we have seen FII were the net buyers in both equity and cash markst .. volumes are imporving day by day.. But the global markets are gona playa an important role in the sensex to rcvr its momentum.. yes shrt term we are in bear markets and these kind of rallies keep the intrest up in investors ,.. to stay invested in sensex..

Nifty is facing stif resistance at 5080 lvls and we haveseen from past session every attemnt is being a failure for nifty to cross 5100 mark , some strong positive clue is required for nifty to trade abv and brk 5100 barrier..

Yesterday gain in DOw jones on account of the good job nos .. although dow jones fell from its significants highs .. but close with the gains of 2 digit mark..

Microsoft reported a rise in earnings that beat expectations, but the company's shares declined by more than 5 percent as its outlook disappointed investors..

Nikkei istrading up on account of weak yen .. where as hang sang is a bit weak..

Hero honda came out with nos yesterday , the stock gained alsmot 25 rs on account of the company new venture , compay is looking to enter in to the finance buzz to start with forits two wheeler segemnt .. it may be within the company in the start..

Maruti Suzuki net profit fell 34 percent courtesy forex lossesand the effect is clearly seen on the stock price,...

RBI meet is on 29th April. We expect the RBI to maintain the rate as such given the dip in inflation in the last two weeks and the nos are gonna came today also .. will also be within line as per the market analyst ...

WIth the FNO expiry day today there is lot to be expected in todays trade with volatile sesion dwn the day but dont expect anything weird , Sensex on account of the global positive factors gona trade positive with midcaps wuld be the flavour and cvring wuld be in the frontliners . there culd be some up and dwn in the frontliners but mid caps are expected to perform very well today .. so traders can put their bet today on these.. With the gap up openg od abt 100 points sense will follow its asian peers in the intrday patters ,,,

Analyst says we are in the bear market and these kind of rallies are there in the bear market ,, if u see the chart of the sensex from 2000-2003 which was a bear markets u can predict the rallies ,..,.so from these lvls dont be over exicte if u see nifty touching 5250 mark .. 17300 in sensex..

SIx straight days of positive closing for markets .. defenately helped some sought of confidence in the retail investor , specially the few cvring the small cap and mid cap that really helped a lot of ppl to have few buying and seling .. Lots of investors are being caught up in the higher side in these segmenst , so its quite possible as the stock rallies in mid cap segment and in small cap segment it will face some sought of selling at all higher lvls..

Analyst says the carnage is not over and we will see anotherface of bloodbath before touching our highs .With inflation rise and CRR hike ,, the impact is still left pending ..Govrmnt banning export of food items and many more stepss.
Also we cant forget the major factor being the election that are due ..

With the month end FNO closing nearing us , we believe there wuld be some jitters in the market with the analys saying that we are expected to close this series of nifty abv 5100 mark ..
It might be possible due to some really bad global cues we might see 4900 mark in nifty ..

Sensex marked a other then direction what analyst were expecting on monday before opng bell, neglecting the effect of the CRR hike the sensex took its direction from the positive global cues and trded very strongle througout the day ..
The nifty closed well abv the magical figure of the 5000 ,, though the today trade will be favoured by the bears and wall street lost some its gains on account of the bad cues and nos by the bank of america whose profit fell 70% in qOQ basis ,,
Though wall street trading abv 12750 is termed as same as nifty trading abv 5000 mark ..
FII are cvring their shorts and that can be decesively seen from the figures still lots of shorts are pending any jump abv 5090 mark will take huge shrt cvring to be carried out ..

Yesterday nos by RIL were good eneough the profits raised mainly due to refinery margins..
RIL's net profit rose to Rs.3912 crore from Rs.3156 crore, a year-on-year (YoY) growth of 23.95 percent. Reliance Industries chairman and managing director Mukesh Ambani said he sees the company's key investments in oil and gas development and refining to commission this year, and added he expects them to be key drivers to deliver earnings growth in the near future...
At the same time nos from the TCS were not that much good enough and if we compare it to infosys they were not that much encouraging...

Market summary 21 april 08

The CRR hike , again small pressure on banking system , govrmnt node to control the rising inflation . the CRR hike will gradually suck out 18,500 cr of liquidity from the banking system.
The banks ahave not still taken any decesion of passing the hike to customers by raising the intrest rate.

Markets today will be having some biggi nos ,.. Wall street is already having the party time with nos of google beating all analyst with 31 percent inc in profit in this quarter . ALL the IT biggies is performing vey well , with City grp also having some recvry in and nos are better then the analust were expecting .

The markets today might just surpass the CRR hike pressure if the biggies gv the nos accoreding to the expectataion . These include TCS , Reliance , satyam and few more..

We expect the nifty to gainns some momentum after 5050 in nifty ..
If we sustain abv 5050 for few hrs that may lead to sm sought of shrt cvring in scripts although the major shrt cvring will be kept pending for the 5250 lvls .. but still shrt term traders will cvr their shrts abv 505 oin nifty ..

We expect nifty to take some support at 4935 lvls...

Midcap isstill in strength and on thursday trade we saw some of the small cap copming in action too.

TTML , nagarjun fertilizer , chambal fertilizer, JP hydro , GTL infra , IFCI .. all of these are fundamentally good scripts gains good amnt on friday and we expect them to shoe strength today also ..

Power sector is poorely beten down and this is one sector that has consolidated most .. expect sa good cmback from power sector soon ...

At one point of time CRR hike might put some pressure on sensex ..but we expect the part to continue.. today is very important day .. as the markets are peak of its resisitance lvls and .. today trend gonna decide where we gonna land up for the whole week..
